Background and Date of Approval
The U.S. Food And Drug Administration developed Rabeprazole and Domperidone for treating gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcers, and nausea and vomiting.
Mechanism of Action of Rabeprazole 20mg and Domperidone 30mg
By irreversibly binding to the proton pump and inhibiting its function, rabeprazole blocks the final stage of acid production. In particular, it inhibits the ability of the enzyme to transport hydrogen ions (protons) into the stomach, reducing gastric acid secretion. In addition to improving gastrointestinal motility, Domperidone facilitates food passing through the digestive tract and assists in digestion.
